The
members of Morristown Professional Firefighters (FMBA
Local#43) strive to
make each experience that a community member has with us a
pleasant one as possible. Usually, it is at some of the most
difficult times in your lives that you encounter us.
Other times, it is hopefully on a much less stressful
occasion.
Each of us hopes that you value our services,
as much as we value your support of us. Locals #43 &
243 understand that since September 11, 2001, the economy has
not been on as solid of footing as it was prior to that date.
We understand that your tax dollars need to be spent
in a way that is not wasteful.
On average,
Morristown homeowners pay around $1.40 a day for our
services including salaries & benefits. If you own a smart phone, you pay $3.40 on average a day for it.
We need for you to understand that the events of
9/11 also
brought on many changes for us and the Fire Service as a whole.
Increased threats
have resulted in greater demands on us as your first
line of defense. Fire prevention, education,
emergency medical service, and advanced technical
training have become increasingly more important in
our lives as your First Responders. We are asked to
respond not only to the usual community emergencies,
but now to natural disasters and potential acts of
terrorism as well.
Let us assure you, we have maintained a strong grasp of the
new expectations that are upon us, and strive to give the
residents of the Town of Morristown the best possible and
affordable service
available.
We
at FMBA Local #43 believe its an honor and a privilege to
serve the residents of the Town of Morristown. We
are here to help 24 hours a day/7 days a week/ 365
days a year. Thank you for your continued support.
